Women Up North is a Northern NSW service for women, children and young people who have experienced domestic or family violence or abuse. We are based in the Northern Rivers, working from Grafton to Tweed Heads.
Women Up North Housing has proudly been providing support services to Lismore and her surrounding communities for more than 30 years. We bring with us this wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding to support you to a brighter future.
Women Up North (WUN)operates in the Northern Rivers area of New South Wales. Our head office is located in the heart of this region, Lismore, and we provide services in Lismore, its neighbouring villages and across the Local Government Areas (LGA) of Byron, Ballina, Lismore, Kyogle and Clarence Valley.
Our service delivery is greatly enhanced through our membership of the Northern NSW Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) consortium, which provides Specialist Homelessness Services to our Aboriginal communities and Specialist Domestic and Family Violence services to women and children from Tweed to Grafton.
Momentum Collective is the lead Agency and Contract Manager for the SHS Consortium. The Consortium is funded to provide domestic violence services by Family and Community Services NSW. We are also funded through grants, cash and in-kind donations from many other generous individuals and organisations. Through this invaluable support, we assist many women and children experiencing domestic or family violence or abuse, with a range of beneficial supports including case management, group work and tailored, innovative programs. By developing and maintaining our professional partnerships with other regional service providers, we can also provide information about their available services and help you with a supported referral to another SHS program in our region, throughout NSW or across Australia.
Women Up North Housing acknowledges the Bundjalung Nation and the Widjubul, Arakwal, Gumbayngirr and Yaegl peoples who are the traditional custodians of the land that we work and walk on.
Teaching children today allows for a brighter future, one in which they can both learn and teach.
Through the Healthy Minds program, Women Up North Housing is able to offer free mental health services to women.
It takes an entire community to raise a family. Once that community is formed, anything can be achieved.
